With female artists from all genres currently dominating the music industry, it's only right that the impactful city of Atlanta have players in the game. Meet the up-and-coming A-town Queens, Yung Baby Tate and Baby Rose.
Atlanta-based singer, rapper and producer, Yung Baby Tate will be gracing the stage at ONE Musicfest this September with her ‘Wild Girl’ vibes. At the tender age of 22-years old, Yung Baby Tate has made a name for herself as an emerging multi-talented artist who takes pride in being versatile and influenced by many facets of the music realm. It’s simply impossible to miss this colorful, self-expressive, confident female-artist.
The Decatur native has something for everyone, with influence stemming from Gwen Stafani all the way to the Atlanta trap scene. Tate’s love for all music is what inspires her authentic sound. This multifaceted one-woman show wrote, produced and performed her EP titled “Boys,” which dropped in May of 2018.
Yung Baby Tate dropped her 11-track debut conceptual album “GIRLS” this past March which features an array of other upcoming female artists including Kari Faux, Bbymutha, Killumantii, Mulatto, and ONE Music fest 2019 artist Baby Rose. The album mirrors the many women she has encountered in her lifetime as well as the many facets of womanhood she has experienced herself. She hit another major milestone this July appearing on Dreamville's "Revenge of the Dreamers III" album that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200!
She expresses her youthful nature through her confident tones and versatility while being able to place an authentic swag into her raps as well as hold a melody. The fearlessness Yung Baby Tate exudes lets us know that she is every woman and she wants you to know that you can be too.
This 24-year old Atlanta-based songstress has made a very bold entrance into the R&B scene. Baby Rose blessed the mainstream with THREE new songs in May. Taking a huge risk dropping all three singles (“Borderline,” “Mortal,” and “Sold Out”) on the same day with only one other single out in her public discography, Baby Rose has proven to be a trailblazer.
Baby Rose has been working to make her voice one to be recognized as she has transitioned from a semi-finalist in ONE Musicfests’ very own ‘Searching for the ONE’ artist competition, to now a year later with her name on the artist line-up and coming off a tour with Dreamville’s first lady, Ari Lennox. She has garnered the attention of established, heavy hitting artists like, SZA, J. Cole and Kehlani whom have all acknowledged her as a rising voice of the R&B scene.
Rose carries a very distinct melodic style that makes her undeniably unique. The singer, songwriter and producer takes inspiration from legends like Nina Simmon and Donnie Hathaway while combining the soothing, captivating sounds of classic R&B and Soul. Joining in on all the girl power at this year’s ONE Music fest, Baby Rose will take the stage by storm.
July has been an amazing month for Baby Rose, with appearances on Dreamville's "Revenge of The Dreamers III" album and Big K.R.I.T.'s "K.R.I.T IZ HERE" album!
